Another one one lurking in Edinburgh - and this one hasn't been done before. It's on the side of Lothian House, at the top of Lothian Road, which sits on the site of the original east terminus of the Edinburgh and Glasgow Union Canal (to give it its full name):

Could anyone clarify if Mungo's other name is Kentigern, or is it that his mother has "two names", St Enoch/St Kentigern?

Saint Mungo is the commonly used name for Saint Kentigern. His mother's name is St.Thenaw, or Tennoch, later corrupted into Enoch. (yes / no?)

On a lamp post outside Kelvingrove Museum

And above the front entrance to Kelvingrove there's a statue of St Mungo - the patron saint of the city

Hi Mr Sam

Can't say I have well not that I can recall - I have been known to walk about with my eyes hauf shut.

The two pics posted were taken in November last year when I was taking some friends around the city.

Make a short film inspired by Glasgow's Coat of Arms and your movie could be shown during Glasgow Youth Film Festival 2012!

We’re running four filmmaking competitions for under 18s in the run up to Glasgow Youth Film Festival 2012. This is your chance to see your film on the big screen, be featured on our website, win special prizes and get recognised for your hard work at a special awards ceremony during Glasgow Youth Film Festival 2012.

The themes for the competitions are based on the legendary symbols in the Glasgow Coat of Arms and its famous traditional rhyme:
Here's the bird that never flew
Here's the tree that never grew
Here's the bell that never rang
Here's the fish that never swam

The first competition theme is Bird – the deadline is Monday 4 July 2011.

A couple more...

Coat of arms of sorts above the door of the Dental Hospital type place on Renfrew Street:

And a badly eroded but still quite neat one on Montrose Street:
