That strikes me as an odd place to open a record shop, though there used to be one many years ago further up the road towards Shawlands near Craig MacMartins cycles.

Note the name on the 78 sleeve: Lewis's Royal Polytechnic. A few years later it had become the more prosaic Lewis's and the price had gone up.
