I never went in much but I perticularly remember its dank smell and that it looked like an impressive 'Greek' Thompson building and had big Egyptian columns by the door. It was a pretty big store in the kind of building I would have expected to be listed. When did this happen, or am I mistaken?

New store to spark CD price war
GLASGOW'S landmark Tower Records site is being brought back to life as a cut-price music store.
After lying derelict for four years, the Argyle Street building has been snapped up by Music Zone, which plans to open its biggest shop in Scotland.
