I was driving down Waterloo street today (or whichever street is to the west and parallel to hope street) and noticed a whole in the ground I'm fairly certain used to be a Missing records store. I never went in much but I perticularly remember its dank smell and that it looked like an impressive 'Greek' Thompson building and had big Egyptian columns by the door. It was a pretty big store in the kind of building I would have expected to be listed. When did this happen, or am I mistaken?

There is no opinion, however absurd, which men will not readily embrace as soon as they can be brought to the conviction that it is generally adopted.

New store to spark CD price war

GLASGOW'S landmark Tower Records site is being brought back to life as a cut-price music store.

After lying derelict for four years, the Argyle Street building has been snapped up by Music Zone, which plans to open its biggest shop in Scotland.
