Had a wee search of the site and couldn't find anything listed but thought it best fits here.

Apparently there is a resurgence in Vinyl and sales have hit the roof, 6000 of them! :)

I liked vinyl records, there was something unique about the sound, the audio experience as a whole compared to Digital.

Here's the link that I read today, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-30216638
"Listen, it's too big a world to be in competition with everyone. The only person who I have to be better than is myself. And in your case, that's enough."

Love Vinyl, Monorail, HMV and Fopp sell new vinyl.
"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.

That's a good one, Dexter.

Unfortunately, Lewis's weren't a big enough company to justify printing their own record sleeves, so they got a rubber stamp made up at Timpson's:-

There's a short glimpse of Listen (Union St. branch I think) in this film from the Scottish Screen Archive along with shots inside the Muscular arms.

Noticed Muirhead's keycutters next door. Probably part of Muirheads department store in Sauchiehall St.

From Lost Chord.

Well it's now all official - The new owners take over on the 10th of September and after a makeover will start to trade in vinyl only. Lots of new vinyl and some secondhand.
The last day of trading (for me) will be Saturday 5th of September so why not come on over and browse.
Remember all our cds and DVDs are only £1 each. We have thousands to clear.
Vinyl starts at 50p and we have a crackin' range at just £4.99p - Why pay £20 in a retail shop when you can buy an original for a fiver!
We have loads of Q magazines for sale and those wee 45s.
Even the wall displays of album covers are up for grabs and don't forget those cassettes - and I even found a box of 8 tracks the other day. Might even be one or two 78s kicking around.
So it's your last chance to buy Jimmy Shand Jimmy McGregor and Van Morrison.
Hope to see you visit in the next 10 days - say hello, say goodbye......Can't believe its coming to an end after almost 25 years
I hear the people sing.

Glad to hear that Lost Chord isn't becoming a cafe-bar-diner thingy.

Me too.

The new owner does, however, seem to have his heart set on painting over the shop front :(
