I recall there being a musical instrument shop/record shop/recording studio type conglomerate there called the Complex. It was on the Woodlands Road side across from Scottish Motor Services. I was once negotiating the purchase of a guitar amp and asked the assistant about HP terms. "Oh yes", he said. "We can do that no problem." Turned out he meant they would keep the amp whilst I paid it up an £5 week and could take it away several months or years later. Thanks but no thanks.

Wasn't surprised to see them go bust soon afterwards.

Yeah, that's right. I had forgotten about that one for the "Record Shop" post! The musical instruments were in the front, the record shop down a corridor at the back, IIRC.

I used to call on some Companies in it a few years back. Front Page are the only ones whose names I remember now. They used to do stuff for Disney.

I don't think it ever got to full occupancy but it was much nicer than Applejack next door.

For many years they had the campest concierge in Glasgow.
