I'm intrigued to know what Auto - Aids sold?

I'm sure that the shop where Jack and Victor bought their clothes must have been on the site for a fair while?

Miller's Flooring at Bridgeton Cross is having some work done and the frontage is now minus the render and woodwork.

Now visible is the motto "Scotland's Leading Linoleum House" which they used at least as far back as the advert that can be seen in the advert of 1938, on the Parkheadhistory website, when they were known as Miller's Linoleum Stores:

More of an old advert than a shop sign;

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/route9autos/11055862355" title="Old advert by Dave Campbell, on Flickr"><img src="//farm8.staticflickr.com/7296/11055862355_d1ea0e2288.jpg" width="340" height="500" alt="Old advert"></a>

Sorry, Flickr has gone right downhill lately and as such it dosnt seem to work at all. :evil: Here is the address to go for a look;

I don't suppose there is any chance they would leave it like that. It looks fabulous!

As is the way of the world, after I took that photo I got talking to a taxi driver who turned out to be the guy who runs the parkheadhistory website. He had a few cracking Bridgeton pictures on his I-Pad which were mostly ebay finds. If I remember correctly, the Millers were looking to preserve the wooden roller shutter, but I don't think it is robust enough to be left out in the Scottish elements?
