I really should see a shrink about these hang ups .......

BTW good call on the boilerhouse Turb, caught me there !

Well... I would have went down the stairs... But they were removed!

So instead PlasticDel and I used our camera tripods as a makeshift ladder and ascended... Almost killing ourselves as we realised the 'sturdy black floor' we could see below was in fact - solid black darkness... With the real floor five feet below!!

::):

Whoops!

Strangly, the most 'creepy' 'hairs on back of neck UP' place was actually in the Laundry building... And I pity the poor sap who buys a house there... Shudder!!

Now, Cap... Tell us the stories of which you speak!!!

Chris...

PS: Some mortuary action at Gartloch:

I've put a few of the better ones here. It was a bit rainy, and i was only really taking them for my own use as a reference, so theyre not great pictures. They contrast well with Captain Brittles aerial shot above 8O .

I wouldnt be much use for getting you in to the site! I am not up there much - I have to get permissions etc myself! But the guys who run the site are a sound bunch. The sales centre on site is now open to the public, although they wouldnt let you in any further if you just turned up. It might be worth calling up Bishop Loch and seeing what they say...?

Turbozutek your site is almost as fascinating as this one :) Great pics of Hartwood Hospital - how did you get in there?

Not just his site. It's very much a group effort from several of us, although I've still to upload any pictures. Must get round to that...

Not yet it isn't. And you can't upload anything currently.

The site is very much a work in progress... I have 3195 pictures to write a description for... and index etc etc etc

It's gonna take a bit of time... But it's looking pretty good so far !! :-)

What I meant to say was "I must get round to putting my pics in a zip file and send them to Chris so HE can upload like he suggested."

That would have taken too long to type, although having to explain that and type it has taken even longer.

They actually have demolished the Pharmacy Building / Nurses Wing. It's gone. A listed building has been pulled down and removed.

In Glasgow... Who would have thought it?

I've got some shots taken inside the Hospital while it was being rebuilt. A friend got the contract for the steelwork and asked me to take some for him.

I'll dig them out and upload them.

It's well underway as far as reconstruction into flats goes.
A load of ghosts aren't going to be happy about it.
We tried to get an investigation going in there but the developers were not too happy about the possibility of us telling prospective buyers that their luxury flats were haunted by dead lunatics! ::):

We patiently await the deluge of phonecalls from new owners asking us to clear the spooks from their shiney homes.

The first of the 500 hooses will be from the Ardown site - site of the nurses block (i think) - go onsale at between £145 and £240k. All homes have been individually designed by ZM architects.

Has anyone been up for a look?

Individually designed houses is something Scotland drastically needs :) , it breaks up the boring endless estates and roughcast clad homes found in places like Newton Mearns. Despite the elite atmosphere, the idea and retention of the old buildings is something positive.
