Hi Moonbeam. Thanks again for your informative reply. As someone who lived in the scheme from 53 until 89 I well remember
the manouvering of all those who claimed to represent and support those who lived there. Even today, I still on occasion drive through the scheme and wonder if it ever was a good place to live or be brought up in. Despite this, I can't help but feel that despite the initial dearth of resources, life for me as a child was full of great times and wonderful experiences.
Just prior to leaving the scheme in 1989 I worked with a number of Drumchapel residents in producing the video "Drumchapel The Frustration Game" which was a political critique of Municipal Socialism and those who dismissed and ignored the views and feelings of Drumchapel residents. If you haven't has a chance to view the video the only unedited, full copy is available on other faceless resources under the name Drumchapel The Frustration Game Musical Edition. You might (or perhaps not agree) with what this video said about Drumchapel at this time.
