But geriatric beds have been cut and when that specialist directorate merges with medicine they will all but disappear. Medicine do not want elderly patients "blocking" their beds.

Not cut, relocated

Where'd they go then?

Thought the smell over the last couple of weeks was from Shieldhall. This evening it was rank in Linthouse and in Scotstoun. Possible reason http://news.stv.tv/west-central/282021- ... man-waste/

That'll explain why I could smell slurry when crossing the Jamaica St. Bridge yesterday evening.

Surprised Dex hasn't commented on the spelling on the thread.
Anyway, not going to happen. The Uni have post-its on peoples doors saying who will have the offices in the spring ::):

Actually, the Western isn't quite dead yet, though the University will be in it eventually. Bits of it will be used for a couple of years yet.

My better half informed me this morning that she was told by her friend (whose husband is undergoing treatment at the Beatson just now) that The Beatson itself is moving to the new SGH? Anyone else heard this, or can confirm/deny the accuracy?

As a user of the Beatson myself (albeit on an annual basis only now, thankfully) it would be nice to know.

Nice pictures.
The coming few months, with migration are going to be interesting.
Have to say I'm glad I'm out of it now.

Are they retaining the old theatres, or will patients be wheeled along the bridge to new building?
