The minutes of SPT meetings are a source of info too and are on their website. Members of the public are allowed to go along and watch meetings (if things like contracts for bus services excite you!).

Sorry Sharon, i'm being led astray

Anyhoo, back to the Subway, have you ever dropped anything valuble on the line ?
The other day a lady dropped some documents, and the poor station guy had to go looking inside the tunnel. The draught must have carried them up the line.
It was actually the first time i've seen anyone walking inside the tunnel. I was tempted to take a picture :-)

The newly painted coaches are fairly clean inside as they've been reupholstered and the lighting has been cleaned up.... even the windows have been cleaned.
Each station has also been kitted out with electronic information boards. These arent operational yet and currently display the time of 'welcome to glasgow subway'. (you'd think they'd have got the clocks in sync....)

I have one simple request.... their cleaning crew need to start carrying round more than a brush and shovel.... the tiled floors in St Enochs platform are manky and need a going over with a mop

Whilst the Subway was being renovated, me and a couple of mates once walked from Govan Station to Broomloan Road depot, out the ramp past the GPO building and climbed the big fence into Wine Alley. The joys of being young eh?

Believe it or not mate we were sober. First Year at St. Gerards Secondary School for the Gentlefolk of Govan. Never touched a drop of the hard stuff 'til Second Year! Then never looked back 8O
