A : Shawlands Jimmy Moon who has sold or repaired instruments for that lot plus many more. And his proud boast is that they all pay just like us lesser mortals! A wee workshop down a lane off Pollokshaws Road near Shawlands Cross is where it all happens. When you see bands on the telly, look for the wee crescent moon on the headstock of the guitar, you'll know it was made in Shawlands!

My mandolin's a Moon and I love it.

Scroll down the left to 'Artists' for the whole list.

I've had several Moon guitars over the years. Moon No. 207 is still the best electric guitar I've ever played, but it killed my back. I'd buy it back now like a shot.
I am the proud owner of the first electric guitar Jimmy made - no serial No.

Someone mentioned seeing Sharlene Spitteri in Shawlands - Texas' rehearsal room was opposite Jimmy's shop. They always sounded dire.

By Christ, some of those lassies look more than a bit underwhelmed by Jackie's bump'n'grind.

At the age of 68 he still looks after residents in a care home particularly those who can only express their feeling through emoticons and the wrong ones at that.

The tartan or plaid look has since became a rock standard outfit.

billy connolly in his world tour of scotland video is in a taxi in glasgow and points out a pub where he played when he was in the humblebums in a room upstairs
maybe this is the place he was referring to will need to watch it again to see if he says the name of the pub

The Libertines had a chip-fight in Queen Street station Burger King in 2003 which was ended by the manager threatening Barat and Doherty with a " baw-booting". The drugged-up stars coyly trooped out.
