No the Govan Wireless shop sold them. Gloria's was going in the sixties, High Street Tops, Bernard Electrical. Have another read of this thread and check out the 78 covers I uploaded.

There used to be a guy sold records in a wee shop opposite High Street railway station. The Co-op, and all the Glasgow Dept stores in the 1950s sold records. Plus there were shops selling pianos and musical instruments also sold records. Govan Music House , I think, was this type of emporium. Plus Golumbs (?) in the Saltmarket.

Govan Music house yes, Golumbs has been mentioned and I think I mentioned High Street Tops or was it Pops. Golumbs sold musical instruments and I think was still going in the eighties.

I remember Listen in Dundas Place & Cambridge Street cos we've done to death what a crowd of tools worked there. I have no recollection of Union or Renfield Street branches. When were they trading?

The last time I remember being there was sometime in the early 80's. I used to go downstairs to their second-hand area and loved coming across albums I was after. They closed in the early/mid 80's, I think. The shop was across(ish) from the old Classic 1 & 2 cinema.

Use the fucking search facility. Oh fuck it You can't spell nor place an apostrophe. So don't bother.

and nice one teejay from Kinning Park. Gerbers, spot on. Singles were 6/3 and when purchase tax was increased they went up to 6/8 .

No no no: you may say, "you can't spell or place an apostrophe," or alternatively, "you can neither spell nor place an apostrophe." They should never be mixed.

Ach, you are too polite. You forgot to remark that a full stop between "Oh fuck it" and "You" would be good, and that a capital "A" on the "and" might be good too. ::):

And what about clichés? "Get over it" only if you're a girl at Notre Dame.
