Hey some great pictures! I'm not entirely sure of the name but believe its the waste ground located towards the south east of the gorbals... As you walk along Caledonia Road from the Brazen head towards (Aitkenhead Road) I believe the waste ground is on the right hand side...

Have always wondered what that land was used for, got any details?

wasn't this some kind of art project / regeneration thing. meant to look like yer traditional glasgow doocot. probably used as a shed by the council.

Its at the junction of Cathcart Road and Aikenhead road,I agree it is a docot but not in use(there used to be at least a dozen Pidgon lofts there in the 80's)The building next to it is the commuinty centre. Just out of picture was the Herrmon Baptist Church, now knocked down, cant remember the Glasgow group that used the herrmon as an album cover??
Behind that was the accomodation block for freight and overnight train staff.Latterly use as a Womans Care home.I think thats all the cameras.

I think the Hermon Baptist Church on Cathcart Road used to be a rollerskating rink before the happy bappies got a hold of it.
