Seen them do that before and it lasted all of 2 days before it was as bad as before. But I don't think it's really designed for high volume roads like Great Western Rd.

Sure enough, a couple of days after filling, the holes returned. A quick email to our local councillor got it sorted properly within 10 days.

Met this sprightly gentleman in the Panopticon last night. He was the projectionist in "Green's" cinema in the Gorbals from 1955 to 58, he also worked in the "Bedford" & "Green's Playhouse" He said that in the Gorbals "Green's" if the evenings movie was less than riveting, the manager would ask him to pop outside and put "X Certificate" stickers onto the posters, claimed that the place would be jumping that night ::): He would then nick back out and remove the stickers till the next night.
He also told me some hair raising tales of the gang fights at the time.

Around the turn of the decade he was offered the projectionists job at a cinema in Oban, he's been there ever since (Oban that is) He said now that bus travel is free for pensioners, he pops down to Glasgow whenever he has the inclination. nice man.
