I am getting my south side flat done up at the minute (when i say at the minute i have been at it for 13 months now....)

Long story short, the once covered up chimney in the bedroom has been reinstated, i have had the plasterer in and sheeted it all out and its back to looking quite good in its raw state. The hearth tiles, rectangular green, were too damaged to save. They were only on the ground and were cracked and chipped badly with scrapes deep into the glaze so they were chipped in the bin sadly.

I came across this http://www.vicfires.com/32_fireplace_tiles/05_glazed_tiles.html website and have received some samples of fireplace tiles in 2 different greens and an ivory as the close is the same scheme. What i am looking for is photo examples or drawings showing typical tile patterns for closes/hearths/floors in general etc. I have a few layouts done for what i would like to see with ivory and green but would be good to get genuine examples. Have looked on flickr which has been fairly useful.

If anybody knows anything i would appreciate it alot!

Is this the sort of thing you mean? Unfortunately my fireplace (which I'm still in the process of cleaning... as you can probably tell...) was sans hearth when I moved in so can't offer any insight as to the original arrangement

well, not quite as grand as that as there is no fireplace or surround. i will be tiling the fireplace walls themselves, plus the hearth area flush with the wooden floor.

I am just putting together some arangements for panels at the moment - its good fun. you should try out that website for tiles - they have all sorts from plain to very detailed flower sets etc.

cheers!

You've still got it, Cumbo.

Sorry slightly off topic but can you still buy Wally Dugs and has the price increased due to a kitsch/memory tag?
