Get on board for big bus bonanza
The Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust has about 100 buses and, for good measure, a number of lorries, and a 1956 fire engine.
All have a connection with Scotland – and, in many cases, Glasgow. It is a transport enthusiast’s dream.
There are Glasgow Corporation buses from the 1930s-60s, and numerous examples of buses made at the Albion works in Scotstoun.
There is even a 70-year-old bus the Trust’s Dr Alistair Ramsay brought from Malta several years ago. It has been painted and carefully restored and could almost pass for new.
On Sunday all the buses will be on show to the public when the Trust again flings open the doors of the Bridgeton Bus Garage
