As soon as i get a camera, there will be photos shortly.....a bit grey up here, although Granite never seems to age as much as Sandstone. i've checked out photos from 50 years ago, and they look the same as now

Here's a thing you could get a picture of: get a photo of the Merkland Road stand at Pittodrie from the outside. There's some nice granite work there, if I remember right.

It's been a wee while since I've been up to my home town, and I usually go into the Donald stand, but I remember the Merkland having a nice look to it.
Too few hours in the day.

Took me back 29 years. To when I was born.

I'm quite saddened that we never stayed in Aberdeen. I always feel slighlty nostalgic whenever I go back. Can you feel nostalgia for a place you don't actually remember from your childhood?

I really must take a trip up there soon.

Terrific pix. Only visited once and never saw much - not looking of course, must have been drinking.

A city with a history going back a long ways and it always impresses me when I see a Shore Porter's Society lorry with "Established 1498" painted on it. Is this the oldest commercial enterprise in Britain ?

in the world. allegedly. most likely there's older, like Ye Olde Silk Road Trading Co., Tehran, est. 753 AD.

Excellent pics mustardman, especially the first and third ones. BTW, Aberdeen is the only Scottish city I've never visited.

Good pics mustardman, the sixth pic has got a certain edge
to it, probably something to do with the leaden sky and the
usage of granite.
