Hillbilly, great photos. Kinlochleven is a great wee place that i used to visit often before retiring. Every time i was there the sun was always shining, which is unusual for that neck of the woods. One abiding memory i have is while driving down from Ballachulish when you were half way towards k/l you could look up to the top of the hill to your left and see perched all on its own a big white house (I believe it is now a hotel) It looks so extraordinary and beautiful
Ahm entitled to my opinion as well

The big house is The Mamore Lodge. Queen Victorias son Edward used it for the huntin-shootin-fishin way back. It was up till recently a hotel and quite nice for afternoon teas and such. Walkers could drive up and leave their cars saving themselves a wee bit o climbing. However when I passed there last time the hotel sign had gone . So i'm assuming they closed.
