Jonathan,
again, these photos are just stunning. There's hardly a cloud in the sky!! I don't think I've ever seen a picture of Oban that's not dull and grey!! I cannot believe how busy Oban looks. You certainly show what a beautiful country Scotland is.

Hi Jonathon

Is that the image URL or is it the webpage displaying the image on your fotopic. We will get you posting images correctly I hope you don't take this the wrong way as you are clearly an accomplished photographer and we'd very much like to relish some of you images here on the HG board.

Best Wishes

Dave

Jon

I am always willing to help folk as most dedicated contributors are. I'm not much of a rail head but you do post some good snaps and I know there are alot of others who like your images.

Basics

A webpage has a URL embedded on that page are other URL that relate to images and other stuff. HTML largely handles text/tables etc.

When you post you must look for the URL of the image. Normally through a website you right click the image and select View Image then you have it's URL. On things like Flickr you use the 'All Sizes' option to obtain the URL.

I'm not familiar with fotopic so I cannot comment. What I do know is that if you right click the page and View Page Source you can search for HTML tags

Code: Select all
<img src="

And you will get your images address. This is a bit of a job so if you're still struggling then I'll sign up for fotopic and see how it works to try and help. In the meantime flickr and photobucket are free, given your posting you'd not need a pro account just yet if you niched it to HG 'show us' images

I'm about so if you need pointers please post back or drop me a PM and I'll give you a call

Best wishes

Dave
