There were some pretty appalling banners during the protests at the Danish Embassy in London a year or so ago with some classic irony going between the different placards.

I remember seeing "islam is peaceful" next to "non believers must be beheaded"

We don't know the exact circumstances, but unless the guy was being a complete eejit and sticking the camera in the girl's face he shouldn't have plead guilty, I'll bet the paparazzi won't be too happy with what's happened either

In Partick they do the bulk uplifts on a set day each week for different streets...could be that they were put out for uplift but were missed because it fell on a strike day

As the chap plead guilty there was no legal test, and with a guilty plea the Sheriff had to impose some form of punishment and make a statement condemning his actions. If he'd plead not guilty and as he hadn't actually done anything wrong the chances were that he would have been found not guilty as ...
