Re: IDS calls "War!" on the Great Unwashed.

Why the companies that are part of this scheme do not make up JSA to the rate they would be paid if they had a fulltime job, instead of DWP slavery? Cynical moi?

Re: Romani People in Glasgow/Scotland

I'm sure some of the eastern european Roma thought they had landed in a land of milk and honey, with all the "Lucky Middens" and the furniture and goods disgarded on the steets. That and ability to get labouring work and be not more discriminated against than the locals. The indifference o...

Re: Romani People in Glasgow/Scotland

I totally agree about the looney chair, but the culture shock of coming to somewhere that discrimination against you is not national policy must be disorientating. Here (Govanhill)apart from some casual racism nobody gives a stuff.

Re: Romani People in Glasgow/Scotland

The Roma in Govanhill are only the latest incomers. However you must have some sympathy with their treatment in their previous country, marginalised is to put it mildly. In Croatia, they were rounded up before the Nazis even thought about invading. They have never had good press, margialised perfect...

Re: Nationwide launch the first-ever Scottish pub menu.

This is rich coming from easily the top global crap beer producers. Mr Wishart is easily our finest chef , but I cannot see how his fine culinary skills can be squared with the the sheer nastiness that is these unremitting crappy brewers. If someone can think of a single one of their brews that does...

Re: Depression

If anyone had bothered to read the article Ketamine was given to those who were in the very pit of depression and the fact that SRI (serotonin re-uptake inhibitors) take 2 weeks to get to effective levels, a single dose of Ketamine had a immediate effect in lifting the mood of the patients. This is ...
