Re: Petrochemicals from Linn Park

Great find and a great bit of digging to get the info! You should bring it to the attention of this site
http://www.scottishshale.co.uk/index.html
as they don’t seem to have any record of this and I’m sure they would be very intrested in the remains of the retort, there can’t be many of these left.

Re: Power Stations & Electricity Generation in Glasgow

Not sure if that is power station related, Dalmarnock PS was on the north side of the Clyde. It looks like a water intake or outlet, if we had an exact location it should be easy to check the old maps to see if there was any associated factory or water treatment works.

Re: Manufacturer's plates and stanks seen in Glasgow

Not much info on this company, most safes were made in Birmingham and I suspect Fishers is a supplier rather than a manufacturer, but as always any additional information on the company would be appreciated. http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh189/cellcell_photos/GlasgowFishers.jpg

Re: Project Updates: St Peter's Seminary

If they had, then we might have been spared some of the excesses of the organisation that built it.

I for one hope the demise of this building continues unabated.
