Maybe in this case, but legislation is stacked against would be 'savers' of old/interesting buildings. This sad case just might highlite how change needs to happen.

Of all the sites I visited delivering/collecting scaffolding that one was the worst for wind and cold. If these flats aren't well insulated they're heating bills are going to be horrendous. Mind you the buyers looked pretty well heeled. ::):

The Pantry near the bottom of Byres Road do a cracker, and their Partick pies are the berries too :D


I wonder if the Aberfoyle ones are made there. When we lived out that way the best ones were from the Drymen butcher, who also have a branch in Killearn. Worth a go if your passing that way
