And the Glasgow Harbour tram/train is now going to be a bus. :( Anybody remember the plans to link the train to the subway? What happened to that brave idea?

(I got a month added on for dogging off for snooker etc!). Among some of the non shipbuilding work I got involved with was a rolling ro...

When was it mothballed / closed as an active powerstation? The thing was hardly ever used as far as I know, the oil price crisis in the 70's killed it off. Now if it had been built as a dual fuel unit, oil or coal, they might have kept it going. As a regular Millport visitor I hated it, along with ...

Hi allyharp, theres not a great deal up at Cathkin Braes, just some shared paths (i only go up there for the climb and the view). There are some built trails at Pollok that are worth a look, not exactly extensive but there are some nice features (logs, jumps and some nice rootsy stuff). Have you be...

Now that's not so bad. If Sainsbury's get a bit bigger and Morrisons get an overhaul then it'll increase the choice without the need for Tesco at all! Tesco are now running, crying to the Scottish Exec because GCC are taking too long to decide about Beith Street  GCC are, rightly, insistin...

Been using the park a lot more recently due to pushing new granddaughter round it in her pram. The Fossil Grove and rock garden are a disgrace, granted, but the flower beds at the Fossil Grove entrance were outstanding during April and May as were the beds near the pond. What amazes me is that a cou...
