Re: Merry Xmas!

Henrysix, Not sure exactly what happened but couldn't access the forums for a while and that was the end of that or so I thought. I would have tried to access forums every so often wondering if issues would be fixed. Just happened to go on one day recently and saw other people had posted regarding t...

Re: Boredom Thread: What advert drives you insane?

Those Currys adverts and maybe I'm in a minority here. The one where all the employees have beards and also the one where they eat all the product instructions to help them know how products work. The adverts I do like are the Christmas Guinness advert shown every year, the M&S food adverts and ...

Re: Am I the only one?

I quite agree with you on that score. There have been many instances of people told to avoid using certain roads due to heavy flooding and yet these same people do it anyway. Then surprise, surprise they have to be towed by AA or others to safety. We have had flooding not far from where I live but I...

Re: Workplace Hates

Finished work on 20th December so taking leave and not back till 2nd January. I have always thought it would be good if we got 2nd January off as you do in Scotland. Perhaps I will just book an extra day off next year. They had a quiz on teams on my last day before Christmas but to be honest not sur...

Re: Whit's fur tea?

Burgers in baps - the ones from the meat aisle as I prefer them and a few chips.

Spleen,
Gingerbread sounds like a good choice.

Re: Whit's fur tea?

No tea for the last two days by choice.

We had our big Christmas dinner at home on Monday and then relatives took us out for a meal at a hotel yesterday.
Still feeling a bit bloated. I'd go for a walk but the weather outside is frightful.
I feel a song coming on.

Re: Merry Xmas!

Grahame, I am glad HG has not gone for good.
Had tried off and on over a period of time and thought maybe the Forums couldn't be fixed.
Glad as you say that someone had the expertise to get it up and running.

Re: What are you watching?

Henrysix,

I think you are wise.
A girl in work was talking about it today and she thinks it's brilliant. I just kept out of that conversation ::):
I feel like I will continue just to see what the end is.

Re: What are you watching?

Been watching that programme 'The Woman in the wall' - it does seem a bit strange in parts with flashbacks and so on. It is about the abuse suffered in the mother and baby homes also known as the Magdalene Laundries. Filmed in both Northern and Republic of Ireland and not sure what to make of it. I ...

Re: Am I the only one?

Does anyone know what happens to tins in multi packs in supermarkets if packaging gets destroyed? They always seem to have that message on them about not being allowed to be sold separately. Yesterday I thought I would buy some tins of Lucozade that were in the reduced pile but no prices on them and...

Re: What are you watching?

Was watching 'Vanishing Act' about Melissa Caddick from Sydney who was running a Ponzi scheme which think is something like a pyramid scheme. It is based on true story of a financier who made a vast amount of money from strangers along with family and friends and left them financially ruined. In rea...

Re: What song are you listening to?

Good song Spleen - I love eighties music and think some of the songs from that period are more memorable than some from recent times.

I think it is a good sign when various adverts are using music from that decade.
