Re: Digital Camera Equipment. THE Help and discussion thread.

The APO version of that Sigma is well worth the extra few quid and is easily the best of the entry-level 70-300mm range zooms.

Re: Glasgow Doors Open Day Photograph Competition 2008.

I think the highest one is the winner as the one to the right with the text under it is Poodiecat's, which came third

Re: Steepest Streets in Glasgow

Cleveden Road up from Dorchester Avenue? When they were planning to revive a full Glasgow Marathon a few years ago (some sort of anniversary thing, I think) they sent a transit van full of officials around the entire 26 mile route to asses its suitability for both fun and professional runners. At a...

Re: Digital Camera Equipment. THE Help and discussion thread.

Ah, there's where it gets a wee bit more complicated - said building was unlisted at the time of photographing, and is now listed, with perhaps a bit of involvement of myself and said photographs. Building owner is said to be spitting mad at this.... I'm guessing permission won't be forthcoming! Ac...

Re: Planning Application - Tesco at Partick

I agree that something needs to be done with that site, but I think that the Tesco development, as it stands, isn't right for the area.

Re: Planning Application - Tesco at Partick

Chances of it happening are distant at best as Glasgow Harbour owns a chunk of the land required for this development, having outbid Tesco for it and they are also against the development. Chances of it happening on the full scale are slim because of the current economic downturn. Chances of it hap...
