Re: Glasgow City Mortuary (CPM)

The last two sentences "In April (2014), Chief Constable Sir Stephen House said Police Scotland faced a shortfall of between £10million and £50million in their savings projections for the coming year. Staff cuts, control room closures and restricted hours are among the proposals to help cut the...

Re: Southern General Hospital & Redevelopment

Do we know the raw numbers? 94% of fewer attendees maybe isn't something to be bumming about. "It means that fewer than 100 patients waited longer than four hours - down from 178 the previous week." ............................ Unless I'm missing something, it doesn't tell us whether more...

Re: Southern General Hospital & Redevelopment

I had two outpatient appointments there on Tuesday and noted 1) the distances are immense. Having a huge open atrium makes for a bright airy building but it means no diagonal 'shortcuts'. You have to walk round the walls. 2) The lifts don't have buttons on the inside. You go to the lifts, press for ...

Re: Southern General Hospital & Redevelopment

Were it not so tragic, it'd be quite enjoyable watching Shona Robison MSP (aka Mrs Stewart Hosie) doing her headless chicken routine as she tries to work out who to blame.

Re: Tower Block Demolitions - Rolling Updates!

Nibbled - very slowly. They seem to have started at the back of the site and will no doubt get to St Vincent St soon.

I think the hoppos have gone - dunno where but last I looked they'd left the trees.

Re: Gartnavel Hospital

I've been summoned to Gartnavel on Monday night at 7pm for a CT scan.

Do any of our NHS type members know if this part of a 2 or 3 shift system to make better use of expensive machines or just a one-off?

Thanks for any input.

Re: New Hotel Crystal palace Jamaica St

Right about the noisy environment... the developer promises 'a calming place'. Extra heavy triple glazing and 'excuse me sir you're not allowed to open any windows... and we don't advise venturing out too late into the street around club closing time'. BTW on boy racers I was at a business do in a ...
