Yeah, we stopped at Tesco but apparently it's not 24-hour any more.

Painted roofs

Interesting to note the B&Q and Sainsbury's have their names printed on the roof, being on the flightpath into Glasgow Airport

So does the Yarrow workshop on South Street, clearly visible from the Kingsway flats.

How it was done...

allyharp: It was done using a semi-knackered Sony V6000 camera - one of the big old sits-on-your-shoulder Hi8 ones. Mine has the dreaded knackered electrolytics but the picture stabilises after about half an hour of running. I use it because I can lock down aperture, gain and white balance - the lat...

Planes landing

There is a BMI coming in to land on 06 at Glasgow airport, if you look on Google Maps.

Sometime in the 1960s...

... my father got a Mini wedged down the steps of a public toilet. No idea which one, though.

Bit of a trek?

Isn't Govan tube station a fair bit further from the tunnel than Partick tube?

Might go along...

... but I don't really want to drag myself to town, only to drag myself out to Partick. What time are you going to be at Partick Underground (I'm assuming that's how you're getting there?) What's the plan generally?
Grum - if you're going, get me on IRC later and I'll give you my mobie number.

View from my flat...

... is fscking *stunning*. 14th Floor of one of the Kingsway Court blocks. Unfortunately I'm kind of in the middle of it all - the view from one of the ones at the "sides" would be better. Still pretty amazing though.

My new flat is in a tower block

14th floor, in Scotstounhill. It faces north and west, but I can get onto the stairwell looking east over the city. The views are stunning.

been through, non-event

Didn't see anyone in my travels (although mid-day, mid-week). Seems OK. Graffitti pretty entertaining. Might be persuaded to drive through the road tunnel and do a killswitch backfire right above the hatch into the pedestrian tunnel, though. That would be a laugh, it shites up people driving beside ...

Bond store explosion.

Nope, it wouldn't wipe out everything in a ten mile radius. There *would* be a very big fire, possibly with a few small explosions caused by casks bursting. But it's not storing explosives. There was a bonded store in the US that went on fire a few months ago, can't remember much about it.

Don't steal Photoshop!

Use http://www.gimp.org The Gimp instead. It's free, it's more powerful, and, um, it's free. And I use it. And Mrs Gordonjcp uses it all the time for arty things.
