BD - I'm getting on the 240 at Trongate and getting off outside of the Black Bear/Premier Inn on Hamilton Road. I take it this is beyond Mount Vernon and so outside of the cityzone? Yeah that's exactly what they are - 'Survey Stations'. They put them in , verify them with a base station electronically and then take measurements of a site or building from these relative points, all to a high degree of accuracy.
