Re: Cheap car tyres?

I found these guys always reasonable http://www.performancetyres.net/ The offer all the major brands but also do a budget tyre range. The budget tyres definitely don't offer the same level of grip

Re: Wedding presents

The other wedding trend that I disagree with is having Stag and Hen "nights" that actually last a week. Last year I was invited to a Stag party by a former colleague. It consisted of a week long holiday in Amsterdam. I had to decline the invite as there was no way I could afford to blow th...

Re: HG Walk to Bowling, Sunday 4th March

It has been suggested that I will know you lot are in the area when I hear the deafening sound of rattling walking stick and and the crash of dropped Zimmer frames accompanied by the overpowering stench of Werther's Originals ::): Bowling Harbour is not looking at its best at the moment having suffe...

Re: HG Walk to Bowling, Sunday 4th March

What time would you estimate arriving at Bowling? I live in Old Kilpatrick and I would like to meet up with you at the harbour.

Re: Moon pics

The body to the bottom right of the moon is in roughly the correct position for Venus but Jupiter should be to the right and slightly above the moon. My main doubt though is the magnification used seems to be very high and would give a narrow depth of field so I think that you have picked out a coup...

Re: Moon pics

A really clear sky tonight over Glasgow. If you look up you will see the crescent Moon, just below and to the right Venus is clearly seen and above the Moon and to the left is Jupiter shining brightly. This is the brightest I have seen all three in many years. I dont have a camera that can cope with...

Re: Swedgers

Not exactly Swedgers but a tasty snack of days gone by none the less. I have been trying to find Brannigan's Beer Nuts without success.
They were peanuts roasted in their skins coated with a glaze of crystallised sea salt flakes.
Any one know if they are still available?

Re: Depression

Thank you for the kind words. I'm afraid to say a good part of my current position is self inflicted. I was at a Glasgow Warriors match last month and after 10 months sober thought it would be ok to have just one wee malt to celebrate our win. WRONG . Back to square one and I am so disgusted with my...

Re: Lost Car Dealerships

I remember these independent dealerships in the days BC. (Before Clark) Westcars - Crow Road - Saab and Colt (now called Mitsubishi) Westcars - Barrhead Road - Audi, Nsu, VW. Brian Coyle one of the owners of Westcars won the London to Sydney Marathon Rally with Andrew Cowan in a detuned Hilman Hunte...
