Re: RIP House Of Sher

I remember back in the 1970s/1980s when you needed a special card to shop in Slaters Menswear. Membership was restricted to police, fire service employees sales reps etc. Rock bottom prices, good quality and great service. Always queued out the door. They used to even have a wee waiting room if the ...

Re: Last Famous Person You Saw On The Streets Of Glasgow was

I am positive I saw Billy Connolly and some, what looked like, pals walking up from Parnie Street at the side of the Tron Theatre yesterday, heading up to the Merchant City about 5pm-ish. That would be correct. He was in Glasgow last night to accept his Lifetime Achievement Award from the members o...

Re: IDS calls "War!" on the Great Unwashed.

"I am shocked that the rich avoid paying tax" says George Osborne, beneficiary of a £4m offshore trust fund set up to avoid paying tax. On a different note. Yesterday (yes it was Easter Bank Holiday Monday) I received a phone call from a man calling on behalf of ATOS ordering me to attend ...

Re: Old Cars etc Spotted

Interestingly that 3 wheeler Morgan type car is actually brand spanking new. It is a kit car by Aero Cycle Cars using a Moto Guzzi motorcycle engine. Some use Harley Davidson engines, some use Honda CX 500 V twins and there is also a model using Citreon 2CV engines.

At last a party starting to see that they are doomed if they dont listen to the electorate. This wont by itself...

Re: HG Walk to Bowling, Sunday 4th March

It's a bit of a 'piece of string' question, but I'm guessing we'd look to be there about four, give or take an hour. If you PM a contact number, we'll let you know when we're on the approach. Thanks Josef, it would be great if you give me a text when you get near Bowling. I have sent you a PM with ...
