I dont believe population decline is a problem. - The population of Glasgow was unsustainably large when the figures of a million were being thrown around, with immigrants from Ireland and the Highlands. - The knocking down of the slums and the new towns act resulted in people moving away - The popu...

"George Square is an important civic space and it is central to our vision for the redevelopment of our city." Thats balls if ever there was one. During the interviews I carried out for my dissertation it was quite clear that there were no long term plans for George Square, that any changes would oc...

Strathclyde only has a few attractive buildings from many, Royal College and the SIBS building, the rest are attrocious. Especially the Coulville building with its lego like structure with cold bridges (girders covered in concrete sticking out of the building which then because of the structure brin...

When my family and me went to Whitley Bay on caravan holidays, a fine gentleman used to come around the site social club and sell crab sticks. They were most delightful.

I still get some from Asda, forgot to get them the other day, but tomorrow I shall!!

hmmm ale....

Nobody has mentioned The Aragon on Byers Road, new management, but still doing special ales on the blackboard.

If you're ever in Hamilton, go into The George, fantastic wee pub usually with 3 different ales on tap and a mix of 6 different bottled beers. Not bad for a pub in Hamilton.

On a side note however, I'm about to (finally) start work on my dissertation which f...
