Re: Glasgow East By-election

::): I find the whole thing a crock of pish. Tomorrow I'll still have a high mortgage, high council tax, a factors service (we don't have a choice of getting rid of) that pays off the local Government and a Council that won't come and pick up my old demolished shed for less than £15 per 15 minutes....

Re: Glasgow East By-election

An interesting statistic of the poll is that Labour, allegedly the leading socialist party in the UK, was arguably denied victory by the two other radical socialist parties, the Scottish Socialist Party and Solidarity polled 1067 votes between them and the margin of victory was a mere 365 votes. Wi...

Re: Glasgow East By-election

Well done John Mason and all the foot soldiers. Well done Caltonboy and the folk of Glasgow East. Well done Alex Salmond (cue Onny). So there you go, Glasgow folk wouldn't vote for a chimp with a red rosette after all. You'll need to earn your votes in this city ya bunch of wide boys.

Re: A Lighthouse in the middle of Prussia

Is that the Fernsehturm in Berlin? It's certainly not Rhyl, where I believe the Clydesdale Bank tower ended up :D Aaaah, if that's the case then forget it, I've been given a bum steer, sorry folks. I was told by a native of Gothenburg that the Liseberg Tower in Gothenburg was the original Clydesdal...

A wee puzzler

Every time I've ever put up a wee question some bastard gets it right in about 4 nanoseconds! If it happens again I'm going to jab my eye with the end of a guitar string. What do these hotels have in common? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v195/schiehallion/ujj-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/alb...

The squinty bridge isn't on Google Maps. Not only is it on Microsoft Live Earth, on map mode they've actually named it "Squinty Bridge". ::):
