Re: Aggressive Begging in Glasgow City Centre. Getting worse

Re: New Boiler

Just a guess, but do they not have an internal battery so that, in the event of a power cut, the clock doesn't need resetting?

Re: Signs 2

Now see the Blue Street signs - Belmont Street has one as well, maybe this could be one of these projects where HG could find the streets in blue? Anyone know where, why, when or how the blue signs started? Here's a couple of blueys I've captured since reading this. Apologies for the quality of thi...

Re: Renfrew St in the 60s

Findlay Street? Doesn't run to Renfrew Street though - at least it didn't in the 1890's! http://bit.ly/12tDDCJ Having said that, the Post Office Directory of 1911/12 seems to suggest there was a Wellington Arcade between Cambridge Street and Hope Street - it's mentioned on that other link posted by ...

Re: Forgotten Pubs & Clubs in Glasgow

My boy turns 18 on Sunday and it's where I'm heading to get him his first (ahem!) pint. Loved going into the place when at Strathclyde, still pop in now and again. Another piece of history torn apart in the name of progress. :?

Re: Does anyone know?

He lived on Royal Terrace in the 60's, I think, but the street you're thinking of is Cleveden Road. I think Greg Kane bought it after Donald had passed away.

Re: One for the railway heads

The thing that always confused me about the sleeper is the Westerton calling point! There's probably a perfectly logical explanation for this, but I've never worked it out! :?

Re: Thinink of buying a flat in Croftfoot... thoughts?

I've been living in Glasgow full time for nearly 25 years. Maw's side of the family all Glaswegians, so very familiar with the city beforehand anyway. Southside - barely know it! Not seeking to besmirch southsiders, but that is generally how it goes! Having said that, I worked in Castlemilk for a fe...

Re: Kittens!

I think a friend of mine's cat has just had kittens, or is up the duff again. I'll ask and revert. :D

Re: Where is it Feb 2013

I haven't a clue. It's fairly distinctive, so I think you'd remember it if you'd seen it! I'm out! :D
