Tamandee, Do you remember the old Melrose cafe that was on Maryhill Road near the library and just near Lochburn road end. It was owned by the J'aconelli family. They had another one at Queens Cross. And the old Burgh Halls. I passed there recently and they are in a sad state now. How about the Rox...

G, photo 2 has a strange lamppost with a sort of viewing platform attachment. Any idea what that's about? I've seen a similar one of these near King's Inch in Renfrewshire is it possible they were used by the harbour master to look for ships coming up the clyde using binoculars thats the only logic...

Classic car restoration on channel 5 also eddie stobart trucks and trailers and emergency bikers try to watch them live but if not i watch them on 5 on demand online(its better as there are no adverts!)
