That really has transformed into a thing of beauty. Can't be too far away from being done now - excited yet Dave? :)

Re: Latest project, 1967 VW beetle restoration.

Shame about the wing, not to mention Ed's hard work, but better now than later, right?

It's looking amazing already though, really looking forward to seeing it finished now! :D

Re: Links to funny, cool or interesting stuff

Excellent video Dave - thanks for sharing it. I really will need to try harder to get there one year!

Pretty brave of them using an MG as the 'Zero' car though; arguably far less reliable than many of the cars behind it!

Re: Latest project, 1967 VW beetle restoration.

I've been logging on every day and checking to see progress (I think this is the only thread running on here now from what I can see, what a difference from the past). Anyway, I've been desperate to see the wheels and tyres and lo and behold, they are presented tonight in all their splendour. You o...

Re: Tower Block Demolitions - Rolling Updates!

Passed Sighthill today; only 3 or 4 storeys to go, won't be long now til it's all gone methinks.

Didn't have time to stop and get any pics, sadly.

That looks brilliant Dave.

Getting very keen to see it finished now, as you are too no doubt.

Re: One for the railway heads

I go through to Edinburgh by train fairly regularly and there's almost always at least one bike hanging on the wee forky things in the carriages, often more. No idea about ticketing and such though, sorry.

Re: Old Cars etc Spotted

Love the Irn-Bug!

Every chance the Megane caught fire all by itself; the electrics in some weren't the best!

Re: Latest project, 1967 VW beetle restoration.

Thirded.

Please pardon my ignorance; I'm in awe of anyone who can manage more than a basic service on even an older motor like this. My own skill/knowledge level is woefully short to manage something like this.

Re: Strange thing to find

Coincidentally, I passed by there this afternoon for the first time in ages. I didn't actually know it had been a police station, so thanks for the info!

Re: RIP HollowHorn

I've only ever met two HGers, one of whom lives in the Isle of Man! I always enjoyed Hollowhorn's posts and had hoped to get along to a walk/meet sometime and meet up with him -and others, of course.

A sad day.
