I'm sure offers will have been made , but with the price of metals going up and property coming down I know where my money would go at the moment

Re: Sighthill - Fountainwell Place Demolition

I live just up the road from the flats, and was planning to find a good viewpoint (perhaps Sighthill Cemetery) to video the demolition. A work colleague has just told me her husband said it won't be safe (he works in construction), and that there's a good chance there will be asbestos in the air. D...

Re: Digital Camera Equipment. THE Help and discussion thread.

If you own an iPod you can get a nifty wee adapter (about £15-£20) that will transfer your photos to the hard drive.

Unfortunately it doesn't work the the newest generation of iPods (Classic, Nano or Touch)

Another option is lots of lowish capacity cards

Re: BAE Systems Demolition in Yoker

Also I heard that the Plean Street flats are due for demolition, no fixed date yet though. I was looking at them yesterday and it's difficult to tell if they're in the early stages of refurbishment or just falling apart. Plean Street flats are earmarked for demolition - not sure if its a dismantle ...

Re: Riverford Road/Riverbank Street (Pollokshaws) Demolition

You should be out checking vantage points for your local demolition. http://tinyurl.com/3n93dp Capital! I spy football pitches nearby, which means goalposts, which means something to strap my webcam to. Six of the blighters too! I wonder if they'll drop them all in one go. :D The one at the corner ...

Re: Stirlingfauld Place Demolition Photos

AlanM - were you still there as the crowd cleared? Were you standing on the wee green hill closest to the fence? I came by with some friends and flasks of tea :) I was over by the door of the eastern block of Norfolk Court, but moved over to the grass in the middle as the dust and the crowds cleared
