The thing with the holes is Troon Darley Golf Course I believe. It's definately one of the Troon municipal courses anyway. What he said. Not sure if it's part of Darley, Muirhead maybe? Starting from the North end? But it's definately a gowf course. Right between Muirhead primary and Marr College.

I am actually gonna dispute that fact, pallly since the racecourse is likely to be included with the town moor, which is common land. Although there is so...

Incidently whilst we are on the subject did anyone notice scenes fillmed in the Mitchell Library on "Only An Excuse" at New Year? Aye. I never realised that was the Red Road/Row/things! Shows what I know, when my flatmate asked "Is that supposed to be Scotland?" I answered. "I guess it's Western Ha...

Did the £40 m Glass House(tm) extension to St Andrews House make it to completion? I do remember seeing plans for extensions to the Royal High School, but Dewar was having none of that. I read somewhere that the building wasn't really suitable for modification anyway, aspects like disabled access w...

The beam then hung swinging over the seats of Conservative MSPs. Nahahahahaha!!! Sorry, that is so inconsiderate of me. Some of those MSPs or the VIPs who sit in the gallery behind them could've been seriously hurt. Great that'll be more negative press for the building. More reason for peopl...

Played in Britain (Sport Heritage)

I attended a very interesting AHSS lecture tonight about Britain's sporting heritage by Simon Inglis of Played in Britain. http://www.playedinbritain.co.uk/ He is -it would seem- the leading expert in said subject or at the very least in the subject of Glasgow born architect Archie Leitch, who he sp...
