Re: I want to buy a bike

How much did you get that Reign for? PM me if you don't want to disclose on the board! I'm not interested in buying, just intrigued as to how much of a bargain can be had.

Re: I want to buy a bike

The Police auction I was at the other week was chock-a-bloc with bicycles. Most of them, it has to be said, were nothing short of scrap metal but there were at least half a dozen of exceptional quality (two of them were CUBE cycles, worth around £1,500 or so each) and I don't think any of the bette...

Re: Camera Tripods - Your Recommendations...

For anyone looking for a small carry-around solution, I'd recommend the Joby Gorillapod.

The bendy legs have proved very useful for attaching to trees, poles etc.

I'm really not a big fan of Subway. Unless you buy the sub of the day it's quite expensive and I really don't expect the bread is particularly healthy once you find out what goes in it. And the amount of mayo they mix in with the tuna and things is quite something. Not only that, but they're horribl...

Re: The Campsies 15-10-2008

Whereabouts are those last two?

I think I can tell where the first one is - on the pipe track leading out of Killearn, near the house with the big pond at the start?

Re: WiFi locations in Glasgow

There's a new place called foto bareesta on Woodlands Road, near the Beanscene that offers free wifi. I'm in there right now. It's quirk seems to be that it's a coffee shop that offers digital photo printing while you wait. They also have a few computers to use if you don't have a laptop with you.

Re: Hiking near Glasgow?

I walked Dumgoyne for the first time at the weekend and I have to say it was very enjoyable. We got the bus to the distillery and It took us under an hour to get to the top. After that we walked down the other side of Dumgoyne and along towards Slackdhu then scrambled down the cliffs to get back for...
