Re: Pollok Park site for "Go Ape" centre.... just say NO!!

 just because this plan has finally folded, doesn't mean the Council have not plans to continue selling-off Glasgow's assets....there will no doubt be another developer creeping around offering the Council back-handers to allow some unwanted planning application....maybe Tesco, they seem to be...

Silverburn is about to submit another new set of proposals for the extension to the shopping areas, now if you can recall some of the previous comments.....there is basically only 2 main options... An...

Re: Glasgow Coliseum Fire

8O Such a pity...always found it a great Cinema, with its screen almost touchable from the front seats....will always remember seeing "How the West was Won" in full Cinerama, which used 3 projectors to show the widest, (at that time), images on screen. Quite an experience at the time.........

Thought the Government were trying to get us to go Green, by getting us to scrap our old 10year + cars, and getting us to buy a smaller, more fuel efficien...

Re: Pollok, Househill and Hurlet

::): ::): ....Just a few lines of clarification.. The overall Civic Realm proposals, and Local Community Resource, were amongst other forgotten plans to be shelved when this 'new build' was being designed. There was a desparate need to have a central information point where local information includi...

Re: Sculptures and Statues around Glasgow

8O 8O Yes I agree...
I did have a hard copy of a prepared submission at the Art School, some 17 pages or so, but changed my mind and presented something else, that was in 1998....If I can find it, will lodge report in these pages, and you can have it to save you some research time.....

Re: Sculptures and Statues around Glasgow

8O I did some research several years ago, but lost most of this when my Mac crashed, the view was downloaded from the web, and is one of the better images.... As far as I can remember, 4 statues were produced in total and the artist (????), intended them to be sited in locations where confrontation ...

Re: Savoy Centre Renewal

8O The title 'CHINATOWN' was an observation that currently about 50% of the traders are from the local Chinese community, and with such an increase of Chinese buying up the houses/flats around the Art School and down to Cambridge Street.......it should not take too wide a view to see the 'New Savoy ...

Re: Better Homes, better Lives with GHA

 Quite obvious some member of the GHA higherarchy has posted this mince.... pity the site authorities allow such blatent advertising spoiling an otherwise 'open and non-political' discussion site.
