There's some amount of burds fire in there before heading up the dancing.

I'm a philistine , but I loved Safeways own brand 12 year old speyside - light easy drinking and guaranteed to make you mental. Mix with safeway's own brand 5% lager and stand well back to avoid ar5holes. :P That'...

Re: Data bank of the old Museum of Transport

You have to remember that the Kelvin Hall was not the first Museum of Transport, that was in the old Tram Depot at Pollockshields. They had a fantastic model railway layout of Carlisle Citadel there, I have always wondered what happened to it. Was that the bit where you went up a few steps into a k...

Re: Cathcart Circle Disruption

Since the one way streets and designated parking came into being, the 44 goes along Sinclair Drive no problem every morning. I can get a bus at 8.25am at Scottish Power in Spean St and I'm in Oswald St between 8.45 and 8.50.

Re: Its orange walk day today in glasgow

Want to pull in the tourists? Combine the Orange Walk with the Pamplona running of the bulls. That'll work.

Re: Its orange walk day today in glasgow

I got held up at Eglinton Toll by the walk. As in delayed, not robbed!

Anyway, a quick shimmy through Gourock Street to Vicky Road and I was laughing. Window down, 'New York Dolls Live At Fillmore East' full blast on the CD player and I think I drowned out the drummer.

Re: Pre 1850 Glasgow buildings

There's actually loads of pre-1850 buildings in Glasgow. Here's a few well known ones.... The original tower of the Merchant's Hall (long since demolished) still stands proudly over the Briggait. This tower is from 1659. http://www.theglasgowstory.com/images/TGSE01391_m.jpg The Virginia Buildings in...

Re: Pre 1850 Glasgow buildings

Does it have to be still in it's original location? ::):

Langside Halls which or course was originally a bank in Queen Street was built in 1847 before being moved, brick by brick, to Shawlands in 1903.

Re: man doesn't die from falling of unsafe scaffold

Who would win in a fist fight between a brickie and a scaffolder?

Meanwhile, here's a brickie jumping off scaffolding for a laugh.
