wildlife in glasgows queens park.

as a regular visitor to queens park ,walking through most days ,going to the city centre,this summer has seen more birds and animals etc than I have noticed before, here is a wee list... mostly seen around the pond area next to Pollokshaws road. mallard duck,woodpidgeon,feral pidgeon,moorhen, coot,h...

r.e, the BHS store on Bath st, that site as I believe was previosly a block of similar to what is still there in Bath st, offices ,with some flats above. My grandda was a caretaker in that building ,and lived with his family there long before BHS were there ,talking about ,1930s,hope this helps?

think their full title was ,galbraith and cochrane,shops all over greater glasgow area,also anyone remember ,coopers .then coopers fine fare,then I think became gateway,now long gone as is shoprite and kwik save,how sad.

sounds like your works van was a health and safety issue on wobbly wheels.old sherpa vans were notorius for dodgy steering,kingpins I believe,..still on health and safety,in the early 1980s,I worked for a famous southside tiling company,as an apprentice,I had to travel from glasgow to hunterston nuc...

well said, Delmont , driving standards are getting worse. These days its harder to pass the test,cars are easier to drive,so why so many halfwits driving ? still think its vw,s .Not the car itself ,because they are pretty good, just the driver ,in many cases.

yes,Helen it is a very good walk indeed, goes from auldhouse all the way down to Blantyre. Done it many times since way back when? .think I was doggin school the first time ,about 1977/78. The area has become very overgown and eroded over time but you can still follow the original pathways,dates way...
