hope someone can help me with something I've always wondered... the late lamented Captain George in the Radio Clyde eye in the sky used to refer to certain city landmarks when he was doing the traffic reports. He used to talk about the "nippy sweetie factory". No one I asked knew what this...

Dentist advertising for patients? should that not be a cause for concern?

I go to a fantastic dentist in Hamilton. I did try to change to Stirling when I moved here but there just weren't any within 20 miles taking on patients.

Anyone remember Tudhope's that was on Holmlea Road - not far from the Toledo cinema?

As a child I pronounced both as they are spelled - and couldn't understand why everyone always laughed.... Wonder I don't have self-esteem issues!
