Re: One for the railway heads

Hi guys,

Does anyone know what the extensive excavation work being carried out on the football fields on Drumby Crescent, Williamwood - just where the East Kilbride to Glasgow line passes over the Catchart Circle tracks?

Thanks as always

Re: What song are you listening to?

"Wombling Merry Christmas" - The Wombles. That gives me a reason to (re)post this classic. Please watch for the cameraperson perving over an audience member and, in the last thirty seconds or so, the big guy with the glasses who looks like he is the only person there who bought tickets so...

Re: What song are you listening to?

I always thought that Durham Town was Roger Whittarer's big hit so I was pleasantly surprised to read last night that this track makes him one of less than fifty recording artsists to have had a single which has sold over ten million units. Being the age I am I only remember him for being a very qui...

Re: What song are you listening to?

As everyone, their mum and the dog is banging on about twenty fifth anniversaries I may as well point out that it is also that same time since this was released: A great trivia question is what show led to songs at positions two and three in late 1988. Of course it can only be Neighbours: Kylie and ...

Re: What song are you listening to?

Another great performer whose died twenty five years ago was the unconquerable Divine. This is someone whose talent was never really appreciated so I have three quick songs: Walk Like a Man - This Top of the Pops video caused so much shit and not because he looks a bit how like the actress Ann Mitch...

Re: What song are you listening to?

I can't believe it was twenty five years last Friday since the great Roy Orbison died at only fifty two years old. His gorgeous wife died only a couple of years ago on the anniversary of her husbands death.

Re: Helicopter crash on Clutha Vaults

A helicopter pilot interviewed on Radio 5Live early this morning reckons initial eyewitness reports, the fact that the landing did not immediately bring the roof down and finally the fact there was no explosion nor any reports of the smell of aviation fuel suggests that this was some sort of control...

Re: Not really interesting facts about yourself

Visited High Wycombe last week. Spent nine hours on Wednesday having a beautiful Oriental style Phoenix outlined and shaded from my wrist to just above the elbow. Thursday was an easier day, having the upper part of the same (right) arm having an Ed Hardy Oriental style Dragon outlined, shaded and c...
