Re: Glasgow Parks

OK some more information. I've now been to all the parks in the east end (providing Garthamlock Central Park does not exist) and can confirm Beardmore Park, like Pollok Country Park and Garnethill Park, does not have a green GCC sign but does have signage. Also, Riddrie Park, according to the new Co...

Re: Glasgow Parks

Hey guys, Massive thanks to everyone who responded on this thread. My initial query was for a list and I think we more than got that. Currently I'm just going through the GCC parks and actually visiting them and seeing what they are about. Beginning with a photo gallery on each park. I will set up a...

Re: GCC Heritage Trail Guides

Hey guys,

was in People's Palace on Saturday and saw that the Elder Park Heritage Trail is out now. The Pollok Country Park and Victoria Park ones came out earlier this year also.

Interestly found a Maryhill one kicking around the city too. Its not GCC though.

Re: Glasgow Landmarks trail

Did some of the trail yesterday in the City Centre around Sauchiehall Street and Buchanan Street. Found some of the plaques they mention: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5308/5890693748_3a7c19337f.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5302/5890127255_624a327cd0.jpg http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6044/58...

Glasgow Landmarks trail

Picked up a leaflet I hadn't seen today in City Halls - Glasgow Landmarks. I wondered where all these "Glasgow Landmarks" plaques were and why. Now I know - there appear to be fifty of these landmarks around the city. Not sure all will have plaques.

Anyone been around them yet?

Re: Glasgow Parks

Noticed that the Crookston Heritage Trail is out now and as I was in the Tourist Office on George Square spotted a Maxwell Park and a Ross Hall Park and Gardens heritage trail map leaflet.

Re: Molendinar Burn

Would I be right in saying that this waterway in Moledinar Park is the only instance of the Molendinar above ground now?

Anyone see the piece in the Weekend Evening Times this week about Molendinar Park? Apparently the city's newest public park?
