Springboig: Des res or deathtrap?

I'm giving serious consideration to buying a flat in Springboig but would appreciate a bit of advice on the area from you friendly chaps before going ahead with it. I viewed the place tonight and really liked it but I hope to get along to see both the flat and the surrounding area during daylight to...

You'll be struggling to get anywhere for £450 p/m in the West End. You should be able to find somewhere on the Southside for that, in Shawlands, Cathcart, Langside, Mount Florida or thereabouts. Queen's Park, Crosshill and Govanhill are cheaper but are a bit hit and miss. I paid £325 per month on Al...

Re: oh well

I was wondering when the old ABC would kop it :( Flats? Well - you would think that having a look around the rest of this beautiful town. ;-) However - this piece of land along with the "temp car park" on the other side of Townhead Street where the Odeon sat has been earmarked for an exte...

I viewed a "flat" in Cathcart last night that was probably twice the size of that at best. It was an absolute pit as expected but the size really surprised me, and not in a good way. Offers over 45 grand.

Almost makes £175K for a shoebox in Chelsea seem like good value.

Cheers for that.

I only discovered this site just when I was about to move out of my flat, otherwise I'd probably have kept more of an eye out whilst walking round the area. Can't say I noticed any other similar signs in passing though.

Old and new: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/153/352098744_5ec17eaa25.jpg south side I lived just round the corner from there recently and always wondered about that sign. Is Hutchestown not beside the Gorbals? If so, it's strange if that were an old street name in Queen's Park. I wonder if the old ...

If I still lived in my last flat on Allison Street where I lived until a couple of weeks ago, I could have added to those photies with some bonus shots of empty Buckfast and Lambrini bottles within my close. Alas it was not to be. I had mates up from Newcastle who'd never stayed in a Glasgow tenemen...

Evening all! Stumbled across this site when I was off work with the cold last week and really enjoyed the photos both old and new. I was brought up in Coatbridge and now live in Queen's Park but some of the stuff I saw on here brought home to me how much of the city I don't yet know. Looking forward...
