Re: Dialect words and usage

I think 'Ned' is a recent word and I would imagine has developed and used by the 'middle class' to further stigmatise young people from 'working class' backgrounds. The frightening thing is that its used to describe young people who wear tracksuits and skipcaps, don't worry about who the person is,...

Re: What song are you listening to?

Must have been done before , but warrants a reprise because Ronnie Reagan plays a star part in it. And what with his wee twisted transatlantic grandkids being slated to take over soon  Love this. Great song, never seen the video before. Seen Watt play a few times in Glagsow with fIREHOSE and ...

Re: Forgotten Pubs & Club

Here's one: NIGHT MOVES!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pR4SUh2JZtI Used to have a beer or 5 in Hurricanes (now Bia) in West Regent St. If a decent band weren't on at Night Moves, it would always be Maestros for a boogie. The Cockburn just off Blythswood Sqare was a wee haunt of ours too... Real ...

Re: New high-speed rail plan unveiled

Network Rail says in the proposal that new stations would be required, as the platforms would need to be longer, so a new station in Glasgow and Edinburgh city centres would be on the cards.

Any suggestions for where the next Grahamston should be?

Re: 15th Battalion Highland Light Infantry (Glasgow Tramways)

People did walk faster in the olden days.

I always had that impression when I was a kid and 'grown ups' were always wanting me to walk faster.
