my gran lived just off sinclair drive in the seventies and im sure i remember the cinema, although it was closed. if my memory serves me right it was called the mayfair.they flattened it round about 1980-85 and it became an old folks home. must ask my mum, she was brought up there.

for those of you who dont have a copy of Gregorys Girl, its on filmfour at eight oclock tonight (june 16) also on film four +1, starting funnily enough an hour later at nine.1

there was also that famous aussie singer olivia newton mearns,the guy who sang "dedication"-what was his name? oh aye -roy castle(milk)

shocking as it is ,good to see that my south side suburb (castlemilk) didnt make the top ten,must be number eleven!

not able to post pictures yet,but i read that the lovely old mansion in linn park on the south side is earmarked for demolition-shame...

who remembers krazy house at glasgow cross? i have vague memories of it as a child, think it sold toys. can any of you learned peoplr supply some info?

i dont mean to sound like the grim reaper, but was it the same shuttle that crashed a few years later?
