Happy Birthday!

And I find it quite hard to believe I've been a member nearly 4 years!

Re: WHERE DID YOU GROW UP

Knightswood until I was 9, Bearsden ever since.

Can't be too much longer until I move out of my parents' house though!

Re: Lifts

Pointless bump, but I've just found myself lying in bed remembering this thread. I never did go looking for that paternoster, but think I might have to go for a poke around this week. Will provide pics if I do!

Re: Bennie's Rail Plane

The amount of wasteground in that small area is shocking! I live just up the road but you don't quite realise just how much there is until you see it from above.

I hope it stays that way though. Much rather that than more luxury flats

Re: The MOST beautiful places in Scotland.

That Fife Coastal Path sounds interesting. Is it bikeable?

I can't really say I've got much love for walking but I'm quite keen on exploring by moutainbike. I attempted the West Highland Way in September but the trip was cut short by a broken hand!

Shawlands Raver

Anyone ever heard of this character? I met a very strange fellow last night at the Maggie on Queen Margaret dressed in a skirt, workman boots, high vis vest, makeup and lots of beads and bangles who was going around propositioning all the men nearby. As we left someone mentioned the name 'Shawlands ...

I know where that place is but have never been inside. What is it, a bar or a coffee shop?

Re: Do you carry a lot of junk around ?

I've just got myself a little 13" laptop which I'm sure will find it's way around with me in the bag quite a lot :)

I've done a fair bit of travelling around Scotland this summer and one of the most beautiful places I've come across is thle coast round Morar, near Mallaig.

Other highlights were driving through Rannoch Moor and Glen Coe and also the A939 road over the Cairngorms.

I was planning on doing this until I fell off my bike today and broke my hand.

No riding for quite a while. :(
