Agreed. W&L had its offices at ground level and a "cooler" in the basement. Hence the bar name.

Apparently his real name was Henry Tomasso (says someone on glasgowguide). He married Kay Rose in July 1964 (says Scran). That might help.

Have a look in the Post Office Glasgow Directory for 1900 (in the Mitchell). Main Street could have been in Bridgeton, Rutherglen or another suburb.
